SEE: May & November: Grandma’s Design, a European design project and baking competition, drawing attention to the variety of old food traditions of 75 grandmothers throughout Europe. Taking one of the recipes, designers & food artists are asked to submit a modern reinvention as a food design concept. SEE: 12-15th September: The Federation of European Rice Millers is organising its biennial conference in Valencia on 12-13 September, 2013 ( www.fermconvention.com), an event and conference that brings together 150-200 businesses in the international rice trade.
SEE: 29th September: NESTA: Possible Worlds 2050 intends to create a space in which we can play the future – exploring possible worlds in which we might live, a generation from now. 2013 will be a year for optimists and futurists to start exploring the landscapes of the possible.
